Jane Fonda: A Leopard Can't Change its Spots
Well, the current war in Iraq.
Actress and activist Jane Fonda says she intends to take a cross-country bus tour to call for an end to U.S. military operations in Iraq.
"I can't go into any detail except to say that it's going to be pretty exciting," she said.
Fonda said her anti-war tour in March will use a bus that runs on "vegetable oil." She will be joined by families of Iraq war veterans and her daughter.
A bus run on vegetable oil? Has anyone done an EPA study on the effects of vegetable exhaust on the ozone layer?
I guess now that Fonda has a successful movie in the can after many years of absence in Hollywood, she's ready to jump back into her old role as anti-war schlep.
"I have not taken a stand on any war since Vietnam," she said. "I carry a lot of baggage from that."Obviously that baggage isn't too heavy for her to carry on this upcoming trip.
Stick to movies, Jane...you're much more likable when you're being someone else.
