Mexico Threateans Lawsuits

It seems the Mexican government has been watching too much Law & Order:

CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico - Mexico said Tuesday that it would file lawsuits in U.S. courts if National Guard troops on the border become directly involved in detaining migrants.

Mexican border officials also said they worried that sending troops to heavily trafficked regions would push illegal migrants into more perilous areas of the U.S.-Mexican border to avoid detection.

[...]

Mexican officials worry the crackdown will lead to more deaths. Since Washington toughened security in Texas and California in 1994, migrants have flooded Arizona's hard-to-patrol desert and deaths have spiked. Migrant groups estimate 500 people died trying to cross the border in 2005. The Border Patrol reported 473 deaths in the fiscal year ending Sept. 30.

I love how the Mexican government is more worried about people not getting over the border than why they are leaving.

Juan Canche, 36, traveled more than 1,200 miles to the border from the southern town of Izamal and said nothing would stop him from trying to cross.

"Even with a lot of guards and soldiers in place, we have to jump that puddle," said Canche, referring to the drought-stricken Rio Grande dividing Ciudad Juarez and El Paso, Texas. "My family is hungry and there is no work in my land. I have to risk it."

This is the main root of the problem. The Mexican economy is in shambles, and desperate people are trying to find employment elsewhere. I understand why they are doing it. This doesn't mean I want them crossing over illegally, but I understand the cause. And, rather than doing something about it at home, the Mexican government continues to pass the buck and make their desperate citizens our problem.

This is not to say Mexicans wouldn't want to come to America if the Mexican economy were strong. But it's doubtful they would be streaming over illegally, thousands a day, risking their very lives in a last ditch effort to support themselves and their families.

In addition to shoring up our southern borders, President Bush (and whomever follows him) should not be allowing the Mexican government to make demands of us. Rather, he should be demanding that Mexico do something about her own pitiful economy that causes her people to leave in droves.

It's time to get tough with Mexico: not just those who violate our immigration laws, but the government that expects us to support its citizens.

I heard this news on Fox yesterday. Can you believe it? It's a threat of course. What nerve Mexico has. They expect us to support them, just like many other countries in this world. I'm tired of it.

If things go this way latins will be the mayority and will be voting to bring even more into the USA, I was born and grew up in Mexico: the goverment is corrupt to the bone and the people are poor and ignorant, my dad owned a steakhouse and we had to deal with workers that did bad work and stole all the time, most mexicans believe is the American Goverment's fault for all of their problems and once they are here they are entitled to all kinds of free services, in about 30 yrs. we will have a mayority population with no HS education who will be low payed employees and ignorant, which is just what you want if you want to be a super rich ruler (like Fidel Castro one of the richest men in the world), I heard Reid (Dem, I am from NV) cry "the are many hotels that are going to be built in NV, we need the labor", the casinos make millions a year but are too cheap to pay a good wage.Going back to the vote, I worked for the goverment for a while in Mex and one time this is what I observed: before election time they rounded up the poor & ignorant and gave them a breakfast consisting of Tang "juice", white bread toast and eggs and asked to vote for the PRI, you bet they did, but they have even more creative ways of making up votes.Another case in point: latin people even thought born in the USA are indoctrinated on what country they really belong to, if you have noticed some pro-illegals' amnesty are of latin descent as someone told me "I hate people who forget where they came from!", just because I encouraged them to learn english, there are exceptions of course (like me!)the future of America is at stake, but I have becomed increasingly pessimistic about the outcome. I am starting to feel like I am back in Mexico where Dem pass fliers at the ignorant and poor rallies to vote for them with a picture of Tx belonging to Mex, the media lies '"undocumented" workers', "peaceful demostrations", the minority rules about 66 in the Senate, a few more in Microsoft, in the white house, Wal-mart...etc., crooks get away: Kennedy's car crash, and politicians lie: "the national guard is spread to thin", 6000 out of a population of 300 mil?, why it's not even 1% of the population. Do somenthing. God Bless America.

In a way related...
O'reilly had today the whinny lawyer and daughter of two illegal immigrants: they where driving by somewhere far away from the border in CA and the mother was sent back to Mexico for being here illegally the dad guess what? he's MIA in some prison not far away (incarcerated before all this) and what really got me was O'Reilly crying a river over all this "hard working people", the lawyer said "they should be getting the drug dealers and REAL criminals", someone out there will benefit from this because their SSN is not being used anymore by one more ILLEGAL, how do you know if they are good or bad?, do they have a sign on their foreheads stating this?, I watched "to catch a predator" and some of those guys where young, educated and good looking.
Americans are going crazy, and I as a Legal Immigrant have to watch all this madness!...Fox News works for Bush...Lou Dobbs for president (I hate the media).
