World Can't Wait's Annual Day of Idiocy
Oh boy, oh boy...get ready for the excitement:
On October 5, people everywhere will walk out of school, take off work, and come to the downtowns & townsquares and set out from there, going through the streets and calling on many more to join us - making a powerful statement: "NO! THIS REGIME DOES NOT REPRESENT US! AND WE WILL DRIVE IT OUT!"
As Michelle Malkin points out, "Isn't that what elections are for?"
Frankly, this group strikes me as a bunch of crybabies who didn't get their way in 2004, and they're going to throw a tantrum and skip school and/or work. Gee, that'll show 'em! Really stick it to "the man."
This makes me think of the story a lib friend of mine told. Her niece, then a senior in high school, wanted a day off from her job in order to get ready for that milestone moment for many teens -- the prom. Her boss said no; the niece quit in protest, and my lib friend was just as proud as she could be of her little radical. I always wondered what the girl said when applying for another job when asked on the application reason for leaving previous job...
Quitting/calling in sick/cutting class to "make a statement" is just the biggest waste of time. If you want to make a difference, no matter what your ideology, then educate yourself and vote...
Still whining after all these years...
