Questions For Joe Kennedy
By now, you must know that Joe Kennedy (yes, that Kennedy) has joined forces with America admirer and Venezuelan president-for-life Hugo Chavez to bring cheap heating oil to Americans this winter.
I saw the commercial about it today (click here to see it yourself). It shows a little girl in her home saying, "Mommy, I'm cold." Mommy just gives her a pitiful look, and the two of them have to sit in front of the open gas oven while bundled in their coats and scarves -- until Joe comes to the door with great news!
After taking time to visit the bathroom after seeing the ad, I have a few questions for Joe, should he care to answer them:
1. Your whiter than white teeth were dazzling and almost blinded me, even from the television. Who's your cosmetic dentist?
2. Why did you use a white family in your commercial? Everyone knows white people are not poor in this country.
3. Are you planning on any kind of program where you can provide cheap natural gas to Americans courtesy of Vladimir Putin? He's a great guy; I'm sure you can strike a similar deal.
4. While you're busy sucking up to Hugo in order to further your own agenda (and thumb your nose at our president while you're at it), did you realize that in spite of its oil wealth, Venezuela's quality of life has declined dramatically since Hugo Chavez rose to power?
But hey, if Cindy Sheehan thinks Chavez is tops, who are you, a humble public servant, to question?
A side note: Leftists love to call President Bush a dictator, but he'll be out of office no matter what in January of 2009. Hugo Chavez just won the presidency in Venezuela again...and guess what?
Since he first won office in 1998, Chavez has increasingly dominated all branches of government, and his allies now control congress, state offices and the judiciary. Current law prevents him from running again in 2012 but he has said he plans to seek constitutional reforms that would include an end to presidential term limits.
A great guy dedicated to serving his country. Is this the kind of man you want to be associated with, Joe?
