France Waking Up to Terror

On the heels of French police proving they have a few cajones left and arresting nine terror suspects, there is finally a Frenchman who smells the coffee, realizing an alliance between al Qaeda and a North African terrorist group poses a serious threat to Europe:

"The GSPC wants to carry out attacks in Europe, especially in France, Italy and Spain, and destabilize North Africa," Jean-Louis Bruguiere told The Associated Press on Tuesday night in New York.

After rating the danger as four on a scale from one to five, he modified his statement by maintaining that the increase in terrorism is directly linked to US involvement in Iraq.

Well, we have to take what we can get.
