My New Weekly Column at FamilySecurityMatters.org

I've been invited to write a weekly column at FamilySecurityMatters.org, which is pretty exciting, considering the talent there includes Brigitte Gabriel, Joel Mowbray and Peter Brooks. My debut column can be found here.

I also have a piece running at American Thinker today. Check it out!

UPDATE: Both of my articles referenced above discuss Nancy Pelosi, the Democrats, and their attempt at a power grab. This editorial by the Washington Post echoes some of the sentiments I discuss. This paragraph really brings it home:

Ms. Pelosi was criticized by President Bush for visiting Damascus at a time when the administration -- rightly or wrongly -- has frozen high-level contacts with Syria. Mr. Bush said that thanks to the speaker's freelancing Mr. Assad was getting mixed messages from the United States. Ms. Pelosi responded by pointing out that Republican congressmen had visited Syria without drawing presidential censure. That's true enough -- but those other congressmen didn't try to introduce a new U.S. diplomatic initiative in the Middle East. "We came in friendship, hope, and determined that the road to Damascus is a road to peace," Ms. Pelosi grandly declared.

I had discussed the Republican congressmen's visit in this post. Seeing the WaPo editorial helps clear things up quite a bit. It's also nice to see that, unlike the New York Times, the Washington Post is an outfit that still has some common sense about them.

Well written to be sure. I had forgotten about the Kerry/Dodd junket - so numerous are the offenses being committed by the new Dem majority (and their hanger-on-RINOs).

I have posted the full text of the Logan Act at my site along with my own rant about this situation. Not only do I question their judgment, I DO question their patriotism. They have performed so many anti-American deeds and uttered so many anti-American words that I cannot give them a "pass" any longer.

Congratulations! I am IMPRESSED! (Now you're really tethered to that keyboard, aren't ya? lol)

Keep up the good work -- will make an announcement about your debut today on the show.

You marred an otherwise good column by misrepresenting the relationship between the executive and the legislative branches. That someone who claims to be a conservative would describe the executive as the "parent" of the legislative branch is supriseing. Your view of government more closely resembles that of a government loving liberal, frankly.
