We've Got Bigger Problems Than That!
*This post originally appeared on Lifelike Pundits*From The Scotsman (via Drudge):
United States interrogators at Guantanamo Bay subjected a suspected terrorist to abusive and degrading treatment, forcing him to wear a bra, dance with another man and behave like a dog, military investigators said yesterday.
They recommended that Major-General Geoffrey Miller be reprimanded for failing to oversee his interrogation of the 9/11 suspect at the base in Cuba.
Big deal.
Islamists just detonated FOUR bombs in London last week, killing over 50 people and injuring hundreds. And people are still worrying about a little humiliation at Gitmo?
Our soldiers aren't pulling out the detainees' finger and toenails. They aren't raping loved ones while detainees are forced to watch. They certainly aren't starving them or keeping them from their religion...in fact, soldiers have to go out of their way to not denigrate the precious Koran by wearing gloves and masks when handling it. Come on, now!
So what's a little embarrassment among terrorists? If making them wear bras or accusing them of homosexuality in front of their intolerant peers gets interrogators vital information that could forestall another civilian attack either in Iraq, Afghanistan, or (gasp) even Europe or the U.S., then I say go for it!
WHY IS IT THAT THE LIVES ENDANGERED AND SACRIFICED BY THE ISLAMOFASCISTS ARE LESS IMPORTANT THAN THE FINER FEELINGS OF THOSE ISLAMOFASCISTS WHO HAVE BEEN CAPTURED?
You bet I'm passionate about it. I've had it.
