Children Who Don't Fit on Either Side of the Gender Line

Laura was talking about a 5 year old boy from Florida, referred to as "Pat". You just have to wonder where did this self-gender hatred begin? How did a 5 year old come up with these concepts?

You kind of want to grab the parents by the lapels and ask "What did you do?". Playing along with the kid is not going to help.
