Slick Willie Supports Dialogue with Iran

Fresh off his visit to Hanoi, Vietnam, where he visited the tomb of Communist dictator Ho Chi Minh, Bill Clinton is now saying we should sit down with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and ask Joan Rivers' age-old question, "Can we talk?"

"I agree that we should reach out to the Iranians and the Syrians and try to get a regional solution. Right now the Iranians don't want to do anything, probably because their policy seems to be, whatever causes America heartburn is good for us," Clinton told the Dutch TV program Nova.

"But the truth is there are 1.6 million Iraqi refugees already," he explained, adding that there could be as many as 10 million if the situation deteriorated to a point similar to the worst days of the Bosnian conflict.

"Most of them would be in Iran. I don't really think Iran wants that, so I think there may be an opportunity for us all to work together."

What is it with ex-Democratic presidents? Do they forget they are no longer in the Oval Office? George Bush Senior never makes policy suggestions in public now, nor did he when Clinton was in office. Clinton and Jimmy Carter both seem to think that their opinions are golden these days.

The way Clinton "reached out" to the North Koreans (which means they now have nuclear bomb-making ability), and his inability to take action when we were attacked again and again before 9/11 (1993 World Trade Center bombing, USS Cole, Khobar Towers, etc.), mean that we should not be listening to his suggestions now. He had his turn and he failed (to use his own words regarding his failure to capture or kill Osama bin Laden).

The man is a narcissist and can't seem to stop his yapping. Unfortunately, there are those who cannot seem to stop listening.

Dialogue is needed...just not the way Clinton did it.

The man is a class-less act. What does it say about us that he was elected not once, but twice? Shaking my head....
