Hillary Making the Rounds

Gak! Just when you thought it was safe to turn on your television again, Hillary Clinton is getting ready to do the talkshow circus -- er, circuit.

Dusting off her ten-year-old book It Takes a Village (which is being re-issued,) Clinton is planning to visit the Today Show and The View, where her adoring sycophants await. (The only fly in this ointment is that Katie Couric is no longer at Today, ready to slaver at her idol's heels. Alas, Clinton will have to make do with second-best Meredith Veira.)

Lest you decided to take at face value the platitudes that are sure to bubble forth from the fountains of wisdom that are morning talkshow fare, here's a flashback to P.J. O'Rourke's original review of the book. It begins with this:

It takes a village to raise a child. The village is Washington. You are the child. There, I've spared you from reading the worst book to come out of the Clinton administration since- let's be fair-the last one.

Then there's this review from the BrothersJudd.com:

Imagine the hatcheries in Brave New World! Doesn't that sound like what she's celebrating here? Well, it's worse; she's talking about France. Imagine making America into France? But, at any rate, that passage, in a nutshell, is what's wrong with this book.

We all know what this latest publicity stunt is leading to. Her "official" announcement that she plans to run for president in 2008. This is only the beginning of a very long two years ahead of us. Take your vitamins and drink your orange juice for an extra dose of C...you're going to need it!

It Takes a Village is Hillary's idea of a holiday fruitcake.

she couldn't even write a new book?

all of this to counter Obama?

isn't so sad to see such unethical people, Bill and Hillary, continue their efforts to exploit and profit from the American Public?

the MSM is so foolish...

the Clintons have never produced, created, made anything to make the world a better place, they just leach off of everyone else's hard work, employing deceit and slander.

simply pathetic...

"slavering at her heels..." That just about says it all.

Let's see, the Lake Erie Fruitcake is in! The Silky Pony is in! Barack Hussein Obama thinks that, based on 2 whole years in the Senate, he should be in! Joe Biden's limited gears grind out the notion that he should be IN! And of course, Satan's Handmaiden was never a doubt.

Could these idjits at least wait for 6 months before driving us batshit with their endless campaigning!? Sheesh! At least let us enjoy CHRISTMAS!

And yes - I did borrow the Merry Christmas from you. It was the very best available and I wanted to make the point that it isn't "the Season" to be Greeting - it's the MERRY CHRISTMAS SEASON!

You know by now that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, Pam, and I'm feeling festive and imitative today!
